Climb aboard the Object Retrieval bus, sip on an expertly mixed cocktail and watch as ‘street’ chemist Andrea Sella, and Mark Miodownik, founder of the extraordinary Materials Library, perform a series of unconventional experiments.

Karaoke with the Curator

Friday 16 October 8 - 10 pm

London’s hottest karaoke act ‘Hot Breath Karaoke’ meets artist Joshua Sofaer in conversation with UCL Pathology Curator Paul Bates on the top deck of a Routemaster bus. A guaranteed London first and another unique event as part of the seriously original project Object Retrieval.

Scrap Book Challenge - Children's Event

Saturday 17 October 2 - 5 pm

DROP IN – turn up at anytime

Object Retrieval goes family friendly with this imaginative children’s workshop. Become inspired by sitting in the Routemaster bus driver’s cab and then model your own transport of the future from our ever-growing pile of scrap. Drop in at any point between 2 – 5 pm with artist Camilla Brueton.

Fight at the Museum: Rescue My Object!

Object Retrieval teams up with Disposal?, an interactive exhibition of objects from UCL Museums and Collections which are being considered for disposal. Five leading academics battle it out to convince the audience to save their favourite object housed in different collections at University College London. Artist Joshua Sofaer will defend the selected object from Object Retrieval. This night of impassioned argument asks the public to consider why museums hold what they do.

Midnight Feast

Wednesday 21 October 11 pm - 1am

Help Object Retrieval cross the midnight finishing line in the last minute rush to gather information about the ‘mystery’ object while stuffing your face with midnight treats.
